  1. Three day Faculty development programme was conducted in "Frontier Areas in Chemistry" under the aegis of Vision Grop on Science and Technology, Department of IT, BT and S & T and Department of Collegiate Education, Government of Karnataka, during 07-09 February 2012.
  2. One day Free medical camp was organized by PPISR in association with "Rural service trust, Sadashivanagar" on 29 January 2012.

2011

  1. Winter school for Physics, Chemistry and Biology involving students from Poornaprajna College of Science, Udupi, and other neighboring colleges, during Nov 12--Nov 23, 2011.
  2. Summer school for Physics, Chemistry and Biology involving students from Poornaprajna College of Science, Udupi, during May 29--Jun 9, 2011.
  3. A National workshop on Advances in Biological Sciences was conducted under the aegis of Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru and Poornaprajna Institute of Scientific Research (PPISR) from January 20-22, 2011. Prof. A J Rao, IISc, Bengaluru was the convener and Prof. A B Halgeri was the coordinator. The scope of the workshop covered recent advances in cutting edge topics of Biological sciences. The objective of this workshop was to bring together scientists, teachers and young researchers in the same platform. The Workshop was inaugurated by Prof. G. Padmanaban, IISc and Prof. MRS Rao, President, JNCASR. Eminent professors from IISc and other prestigious institutions presented lectures on topics like Proteomics, Biomarkers in cancer research, Recombinant proteins, Stem Cells, Endophytic fungi, Vaccines, Genetic control of mosquitoes, Population control, Protein Structure etc.,

2010

  1. Over 1000 tree saplings were planted during Oct 2010 under the `Green Initiative - Bangalore 2010' organized by the Lalit Suri Hospitality Group in association with Rotary Club, Bangalore. Our role was facilitated through Prof. B. S. Jaiprakash.
  2. 3-day National Workshop on ADVANCED IN MATERIALS RESEARCH from Aug 25th to 27th, 2010 organized at the Bidlur campus, convened by Prof. K. J. Rao and inaugurated by Prof. N. Mukunda. Attended by various eminent speakers from institutes in and around Bangalore, the meeting covered various topics in materials science including synthesis, design, characterization and development of new materials; green chemistry; vibrational structure studies of molecular materials, polymers, energy storage materials, metal-matrix components and ceramics.
  3. First Founder's Days Meeting: Atoms, Light and Qubits, July 1, 2010, attended by Prof. C. Sivaram and Prof. Bhanu Das of Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore, and Prof. Sadiq Rangwala of Raman Research Institute, Bangalore.
  4. Prajnaamrita (प्रज्ञामृता) Meeting on Cryptography based on Chaos, Number Theory and Quantum Mechanics; June 14 and June 17, 2010.
