The institute is funded by the Udupi Sri Admar Mutt Educational Foundation (AMEF), a non-profit body founded by HH Sri Vidhudesha Teertha Swamiji. AMEF is affiliated with, and financially mainly supported by the Udupi Sri Admar Mutt Educational Council (AMEC), a non-profit body founded by HH Sri Swamiji to govern the Poornaprajna schools, of which there are 25 in the country.
